THE OPPORTUNITY

Our award-winning security business is looking for a Business Development Manager to hunt out sales opportunities and drive growth across the Victoria and Tasmania region. In this critical role, you’ll be a key player in building our market position by targeting, qualifying, negotiating, closing, and nurturing profitable and enduring business relationships across the region.

This is a pivotal moment in the product’s lifecycle as security products globally transition into the cloud and adapt SaaS, so we need someone who can help move the Security business to a market-driven approach that maximise the benefits of leading-edge technology. Key responsibilities will include:

  • Contribute to the development and execution of the growth strategy for the region.
  • Drive new business with the region and expand existing relationships in key verticals.
  • Build the Security business profile in targeted vertical sectors.
  • Grow channel partner support and communication processes that enhance partner relationships.
  • Analyse market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments to inform account strategies.
  • Negotiate contract renewals, pricing agreements, and service level agreements to ensure profitability and client satisfaction.
  • Network widely to challenge your thinking and gain new insights and ideas to help drive success.

Responsibilities:

As a true sales hunter, you’ll excel at prospecting, generating leads, and closing deals to expand geographic and vertical reach within your region. To succeed in this role you’ll also need:

  • 5+ years of proven experience in B2B sales, ideally within the technology or security industry.
  • Solution selling experience with the ability to listen to customer requirements and offer recommendations to solve their needs.
  • Ambition, and a results-driven approach with a track record of achieving or exceeding targets.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and make strategic recommendations
