JOB DESCRIPTION

The Business Development Manager position is part of the Transport Leadership team. This is a national role, responsible for prospecting, tendering, negotiating and implementing Tier 1 transport customers while also working closely with the Transport Business Manager and Sales Managers on strategy development and tracking. This position has key accountability to grow our market share and margin across Shell Card, bulk fuel, lubricants, hydrocarbons solutions and carbon solutions.

QUALIFICATIONS

The successful candidate should be able to demonstrate a high degree of commerciality, expert negotiation skills and expert understanding of supply contracts.

Responsibilities:

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Securing and retaining strategic business – new and existing
  • Delivery of material volume & margin growth of the Transport business
  • Development of end-to-end energy CVPs, including hydrocarbons, carbon solutions and hydrocarbon solutions
  • Development and ownership of Market data, segmentation, CVPs, competitor analysis, SWOTs, operational strengths and strategies
  • Development of strong networks in the Transport industry
  • Lead and manage major tenders and negotiations with top tier customers from relationship establishment, commercial negotiation though to legal completion
  • Assist with roll-over strategies for top tier customers

  • a strategic and skilled negotiator with superior stakeholder management, relationship building and transformational partnership capability
  • strong project management skills and exceptional capability in tender development, contracts and pricing
