PROFILE

We are seeking an experienced Marketing Specialist to join our Business Development & Marketing Team to provide local support to the Business Development & Marketing Manager, and work in collaboration with the National Business Development & Marketing team to provide local support for national team initiatives.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Post-secondary degree in communications, marketing, public relations, journalism or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in marketing, communications, public relations or related role.
  • Exceptional client service skills focused on results and client satisfaction.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, tactfulness and solid networking skills in order to maintain and establish key partnerships and alliances.
  • Excellent writing, editing and research skills, with superior knowledge of grammar, spelling, punctuation and style (Canadian Press); must have a keen eye for detail.
  • Ability to work independently as well as within cross-functional teams in a collaborative, professional environment.
  • Solid project management skills, ability to meet tight deadlines and work under pressure.
  • Highly motivated, with driving sense of responsibility, accountability and responsiveness.
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Experience within a professional services firm is an asset

Responsibilities:

  • Support the Business Development and Marketing Manager with the development and execution of all business development and marketing initiatives for the Vancouver office
  • In collaboration with the proposal team, collect content, format and create business development presentations including proposals, RFP responses and customized pitches. Manage the production and timely delivery of presentations.
  • Play a lead role in developing concepts and copy for regional and national advertising campaigns for the Vancouver office. Ensure standards are met for the firm’s visual identity and branding for the department.
  • In collaboration with and where approved to do so by the firm communications team, liaise with local media and lead the office’s media relations activities, including vetting media requests for possible conflicts, writing pitches, preparing media advisories and reporting on results.
  • Track and report on business development and marketing/communications activities within the office.
  • Assist the Business Development and Marketing Manager in the delivery and presentation of business development coaching material to professionals.
  • Manage the newsletters and content calendar for the office.
  • Assist and support Client Team program to help deepen client relationships and expand opportunities
  • Lead and/or support business development initiatives for the Vancouver market including sourcing and executing sponsorships, speaking opportunities and top tier events
  • Creating and maintaining marketing materials
  • Assisting with directory and award submissions
  • Overseeing corporate gift and promotional items
