Description:

Overview:
We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Business Development Representative (BDR) to join our Partner/Affiliate team. This entry-level position is ideal for individuals looking to gain hands-on experience in prospecting, outreach, and partner management. Much of the role’s responsibilities will involve improving and running aspects of the partnership process, from gathering information about prospective partners and cold calling those prospects, to maintaining relationships with ongoing partners. Ideally, whoever works in this role will be comfortable on screen, and well-written in emails and other text communication. The BDR will play a crucial role in identifying new partners and social media influencers, managing outreach campaigns, onboarding new affiliates, and providing support to the team. Organizational skills are a must.
Currently we are only hiring in South Africa, and this will be a fully-remote role.
This role will report directly to Max Bonnard, Genesis Digital’s Senior Manager of Affiliate Marketing.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Conduct market research to identify potential partners and affiliates.
  • Perform cold email outreach to prospective partners.
  • Assist in the onboarding process for new affiliates, ensuring a smooth transition.
  • Respond to and resolve tickets and inquiries from partners and affiliates.
  • Maintain accurate records of outreach activities and partner interactions in the CRM system.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and implement outreach strategies.
  • Participate in team meetings and provide updates on outreach and onboarding progress.
  • Support the partner/affiliate team with various administrative tasks as needed.
  • Utilize social media platforms to identify and engage potential partners and influencers.
  • Assist in developing and executing influencer marketing campaigns to promote the affiliate program.

  • Maintain a high level of professionalism and customer service in all interactions.
  • Continuously seek ways to improve outreach processes and partner engagement.

Required Skills/Abilities:

Experience:

  • Previous experience in business development, sales, or affiliate marketing is a plus, but not required.

Professional and technical knowledge:

  • Familiarity with affiliate marketing, social media platforms, and influencer marketing strategies is a plus, but not required.

Skills:

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Basic understanding of affiliate marketing and business development principles.
  • Highly motivated with a proactive attitude and willingness to learn.

Key Performance Indicators:

  • Number of new partners and affiliates identified and contacted.
  • Success rate of cold email outreach campaigns.
  • Speed and efficiency of onboarding new affiliates.
