Omnia Training is currently seeking a Business Development Representative to join our team and growing family. The candidate needs to have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Concrete, landscaping, directional drilling, education experience is a must.

EDUCATION/QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE:

  • Customer relations and leadership experience.
  • Proven history of managing projects, businesses, and a team.
  • Diverse experience an asset.
  • Background in concrete, landscaping, directional drilling, & education.
  • 5+ years of experience in business development, preferably in the construction industry
  • Recognized University/College degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or related field.
  • Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent networking skills and skilled at maintaining relationships.
  • Adept at understanding high-level business concepts.
  • Ability to hunt for new opportunities while supporting both short and long sales cycles.
  • Skillful at identifying opportunities and developing strategies.
  • Experience creating and implementing business development plans, utilizing CRM (Customer Relation Management) systems, and coordinating with marketing teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle multiple responsibilities and projects deadlines.
  • Proven ability to strategically develop relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strong grasp of business ethics and principles.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and clean abstract.
  • Reside in greater Edmonton area.
  • Willing to travel when need arises.
  • Experience as a guest speaker is considered an asset.
  • Licensee is required

Responsibilities:

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities, including lead generation and qualification
  • Capable of managing relationships with vendors, clients, consultants and project managers
  • Develop a sustainable customer base and grow existing relationships
  • Maintaining relationships with clients by making regular visits, understanding their needs, and anticipating new marketing opportunities.
  • Research and develop opportunities and plans, understanding client/project requirements, identifying market trends, and propose opportunities to achieve the company’s revenue targets.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure that projects are completed on time and within budget
  • Develop and implement business development strategies and plans
  • Track performance through Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and monthly targets.
  • Monitor and analyze market trends to identify new opportunities for growth
  • Understands the business environment including competition in order to make the necessary proposals
  • Capable of conducting meticulous inspections to include photo, video and descriptive note taking
  • Capable of preparing and formatting detailed inspection reports
  • Promote Omnia Training, its affiliates and its services.
  • Work closely with Senior Leadership and Project Management group to manage the BD process.
  • Available to travel for client meetings, conferences, trade shows and industry/client events as required.
  • Generate new leads by running promotional mailers, cold calling, etc.
