Responsibilities:

YOUR TEAM RESPONSIBILITIES

MSCI is seeking to expand the ESG & Climate business development team dedicated to the Corporates segment.
MSCI ESG Research is a leading provider of Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG), Climate, and Carbon Markets data, models and tools to different capital markets participants globally. Successful candidates will ideally have previous experience working on a wide range of ESG and Climate topics (risk management, sustainability strategy, compliance, product creation, etc.) at Banks, Insurance companies, Consultancy, Advisory firms or Corporate issuers covering financial institutions. They also exhibit a passion for these issues.
To succeed in the role the business development specialist must have proven track record in lead generation, ability to learn MSCI ESG and Climate solutions and guide prospects and clients to better use those solutions in the context of specific requirements, create and manage prospect pipeline, pitches, and follow up.
Business Development specialist is adaptable, strongly motivated, and natural hunters able to conduct management reporting. Excellent communications skills are a must as they represent MSCI ESG and Climate to all levels of client management.

YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • End-to-end deal generation starting with pre sales through business lead generation through proactive outreaches to corporates across the EMEA region, .
  • As part of post-sales efforts schedule client engagements and oversee contact management. Support with management reporting systems on a monthly basis.
  • Act as a trusted advisor for clients and their advocate within MSCI ESG and Climate Research
  • Achieve target outreaches, pitch meetings, and conversion to drive revenue growth with outstanding client engagement and service
  • Support senior sales teams to educate clients on key ESG, Climate and Carbon Markets in pre-sales/up-sell/on-boarding activities
  • Identify accounts at risk and create a plan to ensure revenue and client retention; working with cross-functional teams to address issues in a timely manner
  • Take ownership for projects to help improve new business generation and team efficiency
