Description:

As a business development support specialist at Desjardins Global Asset Management, you help sell products and services to different business segments based on member/client needs and in accordance with strategies and practices. You play a key role in identifying business development opportunities and supporting our activities. You have a strong sense of initiative and strong analytical skills, both musts for this position along with the ability to multi-task and manage multiple deadlines. More specifically, you will be required to:

  • Conduct market analyses to identify trends, competitors and prospects.
  • Research and identify potential business development opportunities in the institutional asset management sector.
  • Help develop and implement sales strategies and initiatives.
  • Work with the sales team to generate leads and support client acquisition efforts.
  • Prepare presentations, proposals and marketing materials.
  • Coordinate meetings and follow-up activities with clients and prospects.
  • Maintain accurate records of business development activities and client interactions. Stay up to date on industry developments and market trends.

What you bring to the table

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, business administration or in a related field
  • A minimum of two years of relevant experience analyzing clients and business opportunities
  • Please note that other combinations of qualifications and relevant experience may be considered
  • Experience in business development and support, preferably in the financial services industry
  • Knowledge of French is required
  • proficiency of English due to the nature of the duties or work tools or because the position involves interactions with English-speaking partners, members and/or clients.
  • Advanced knowledge of Office Suite and Salesforce
