Help researchers handle their data and documents
What you will do
- Key mission: Help researchers handle their data and documents better, in the spirit of Open Science.
- Lead implementation of information asset catalog into way of working of researchers through project identification, initiation, and management with a focus on funded projects.
- Help researchers onboard their information assets in the data catalog (definitions, datasets, reports, API’s, Machine Learning Models, …) through workshops, analysis & abstraction, models, visual aids, …
- Lead the data management plan implementation and follow-up on projects who need to deliver Data Management Plans
- Inform and assist researchers with completion of their data management plan in the dedicated Data Management Plan tool.
- Identify improvements of the catalog (templates, phrasings, …) and data management plan tool, escalate issues & problems when necessary.
- Build up and iteratively improve information management supporting material, guidelines, decision trees, around data management (storage, documentation, naming conventions, …)
- Define ontologies, centralizing definitions & terminology within imec.
- Participate in Flemish Research Data Network events involving data management plans and ontology.
- Build up a network among researchers and project managers to identify opportunities to help them from a data management perspective

Who you are
- You are familiar with data and documentation.
- You have an interest in data and information management.
- You are interested in or have experience with schematic representation of information, such as business process and data modelling, as well as writing and reviewing documents.
- You have solid analysis and abstraction skills.
- You are able to work on your own, but also as part of a team.
- You can deal with changing processes and can handle a lot of information.
- You are detail-oriented and deliver quality.
- Good knowledge of English and Dutch is required.
- You are driven and solution-oriented.
