Description:

The post holder will work closely with the Business Intelligence Team to support the Planning and Performance Directorate, Care Groups and Corporate Teams in meeting all compliance, performance, quality and workforce objectives and standards, including the overall strategic plan, annual business plans and specific ad hoc project(s)/ requests.
The post holder will be responsible for assisting in the development of appropriate performance management frameworks/ tools/ dashboards and reporting mechanisms and will assist in analytical support.
The post holder will also assist in ensuring continuous and responsive improvements in the development of reporting tools, including Corporate, Care Group and specialty level dashboards as well as adhoc performance management tools. They will also be responsible for inspecting, cleansing and analysing data in order to highlight useful information, trends and conclusions to aid clinical decision-making.
Provide effective support to the performance management agenda and activities, assisting in the development of systems and processes within the Business Intelligence (BI) team, Care Groups and corporate teams.
Assist the lead analyst to determine baselines for performance standards and identify trends in activity to help service manager’s influence decision making.
Assist in addressing key requirements to ensure effective reporting, creating templates, developing operational reports, and ensuring that the system is embedded in every day operations.
Ensure information/ performance is delivered in a timely manner, facilitating both internal and external reporting requirements.
Assist the lead analyst to provide an information analysis and forecast service, highlighting key quality results and trends and areas for concern, detailing reasons for variance to assist and support directorates in decision making (Business intelligence).
Utilising new technologies and presentational formats to deliver data/information to end-users i.e. through the deployment and development of tools such as Yellowfin, Trak, Access, Excel, clinical dashboards and other business and performance management tools
To work with and support the development of new data sources, performance systems and other reporting processes, working in conjunction with other members of the organisation (supporting business intelligence) providing training and cross cover as necessary to share knowledge and skills.

The post holder will assist the Lead Analysts in monitoring the Trust’s performance against the key non-financial standards. Within this role the provision of timely and accurate data is crucial, this post holder is key to ensuring such information is available within the Trust.
The post holder will support the development of dashboards and reporting requirements whilst supporting the lead analyst in liaising with managers, heads of departments and operational staff (This is not an exhaustive list of staff with whom the post holder will communicate on a regular basis.
It is intended only as an example of those individuals who will be in regular contact) with the aim to identify their performance and planning requirements, assisting in development of the reporting mechanisms to then meet their needs.
