We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as a Business Management Manager .

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Strong knowledge and experience in Operations or Business Management domain
  • Aptitude for analysing complex issues to identify and assess the long-term, strategic implications for the Bank and its customers, translating these into tangible goals and actions
  • Excellent stakeholder relationship management and influencing skills, with an ability for authentically engaging a diverse group of stakeholders to deliver at pace
  • Comfort with ambiguity and ability to navigate through and deliver in changing strategic and commercial contexts
  • Honed analytical skills, with a strong emphasis on complex analyses of financial and management information and broad comfort in Microsoft Excel managing data and financials
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex issues concisely
  • High degree of drive and motivation to ensure delivery of objectives in a timely, efficient and effective manner
  • Attention to detail combined with strong delivery focus and ability to meet aggressive timeframes with quality results
  • Strong understanding of risk management by incorporating risk considerations in all activities
  • Adaptability, flexibility, and a self-initiated approach to change and developing market demands and opportunities

Responsibilities:

The role will be expected to work across the management matrix, including global, regional and country-level stakeholders, to support Singapore Operations, one of the major regions of HSBC Group.

  • Providing stewardship and guidance on business activities from an operational perspective
  • Facilitating the effective management of operational activities in alignment with the Global Operations Target Operating Model, through: i) ensuring alignment between entity and functional plans, and ii) enabling robust service performance management across Operations in Singapore
  • Active management and control of financial and headcount plans, forecasts, and actuals, working across Global Operations COO teams and Business Service Heads
  • Supporting the Regional Business Manager, ASP in relevant governance, business engagement and management forums to ensure close partnership with businesses, support functions and Operations teams at a global, regional and country-level
  • Facilitating the maintenance of the Global Operations organizational design within Singapore
  • Coordination of initiatives to support the People Strategy to enhance staff engagement and internal communication
  • Managing strategic relationships with business partners and functional heads to support the Global Operations strategy and ensure a partnership approach for quick resolution of escalated issues
  • Being a positive role model, exemplifying the HSBC values in conduct and behaviour
  • Ensuring adequate operational control and risk management by actively overseeing the implementation of relevant policies, procedures and regulatory requirements
  • Supporting relevant change management and strategy implementation for the Global Operations COO Office
