We are looking for a Business Manager/Business Development Manager to join our emergency veterinary company, which provides high-quality and compassionate care for pets in need. You will be responsible for expanding our network of referring veterinarians, increasing our brand awareness and reputation in the local community, and generating new business opportunities for our company.

- Bachelor of Business/Finance qualifications
- Significant experience in a business development environment including problem solving, IT, financial performance, strategic planning and growth initiatives
- Previous financial experience including budget development
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate in a positive, solutions-focused manner
- Ability to efficiently manage multiple projects from concept to completion and react flexibly and assertively to changes thatmay occur
- High attention to detail and high degree of initiative
- Personal mode of transport (this role requires 1-2 days per week travelling to our referring veterinary clinics)
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Word, Excel, Outlook
Responsibilities:
ABOUT THE ROLE
We are seeking a dynamic and passionate Business Manager for our AES Underwood ECC Practice. Please note that this position will require 1-2 days per week travelling to our referring veterinary clinics and the remaining days in either the AES Underwood clinic or the Springwood Support Office.
Reporting to the Hospital Director the Business Development Manager, will:
- Identify, contact, and visit potential referring veterinarians. Build and maintain long-term relationships with existing and new referring veterinarians. Present services and value proposition.
- Monitor and evaluate business development activities. Provide feedback and support to improve outcomes. Contribute to strategic planning and quality control.
- Research business opportunities and income streams. Identify areas for improvement and process enhancements.
- Report monthly financials and analyse practice’s financial data.
- Develop strategies for financial understanding within the team.
- Oversee debtor levels and maximize cash flow.
- Develop and implement strategies for financial performance improvement.
- Assist with planning and implementing improved initiatives and processes.
- Provide input into the company’s budget and support team leaders in ensuring compliance with budgetary goals.
