Description:

This is an excellent opportunity, as you will work directly for the COO of International and have the chance to grow and develop with the team. In this position alongside the COO, you will work closely with Head of Group Operations, senior stake holders and other business heads to implement and manage operational performance across Miller International.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • CII qualifications desirable but not essential

KNOWLEDGE

  • Working knowledge international regulatory frameworks or FCA regulatory environment
  • Language skills desirable but not essential

EXPERIENCE

  • Experience of working with international businesses desirable
  • Experience working in the Insurance industry essential
  • Experience of engaging with and influencing a wide range of stakeholders across business areas
  • Track record of involvement in continuous improvement projects
  • Willingness to travel Internationally essential

Responsibilities:

  • Assist the ICOO in the assessment and formulation of Miller’s operational strategy.
  • Inform the direction and, where necessary, lead the delivery of Operational projects including those delegated by the ICOO which will include projects relevant to the delivery of Miller International growth targets including M&A activity.
  • Assist Miller stakeholders as required in the design and implementation of an International target operating model.
  • To assess the requirements of, make recommendations and implement operational projects relating to how we work at Miller and our working environments.
  • Analyse and offer recommendations in respect of how we conduct business at Miller, including the effectiveness of our processes and impact on governance.
  • Assist in the preparation of papers as required for internal and external presentations.
  • Manage the performance of direct reports ensuring staff have clear objectives, regular PDRs and receive feedback on performance
  • Provide leadership, management, and motivation of direct reports; develop the skills, competencies and knowledge of direct reports
