Description:

The junior business manager is key in defining, implementing, and managing requirements and changes within the investment teams. This includes developing business intelligence and insights and driving platform efficiency opportunities.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

The candidate will work alongside the Investment Business Management Team and Heads of Investment (HoI) providing a wide range of business and project support for the teams.
The role is key in acting as a support conduit between the HoI and other teams, departments, and Local Business Units (LBUs) across the region.

Key responsibilities:

  • Helps to gather, analyse and validate requirements on behalf of the investment teams using a systematic, disciplined and analytical approach to problem solving.
  • Conducts business impact assessment and proposes solutions to re-design and optimise processes, governance, and improve the user experience.
  • Provides support to the HoIs on management of various projects not limited to performance and attribution, process improvement and optimization, investment processes of the various teams, etc.
  • Performs data analysis to cleanse & standardize data and to ensure data consistency and quality.
  • Assists in developing ideas and putting plans in place to develop a best-in-class investment shared service framework to assist our investors in maximizing Alpha opportunities.
  • Drives development, product usage, miantenance and oversight of Management Information systems and dashboards across
  • Experienced in working on transformational projects that created substantial organisational level changes.
  • Is self-motivated, self-driving and can work well independently.
  • Experienced in using business analyst methods such as flow charting, requirements capturing, stakeholder analysis, use cases, brainstorming, solution prototyping, and traceability.Technical capabilities to build intelligence tools is an advantage.

EXPERIENCE / QUALIFICATIONS

  • Degree in Business/Finance or related disciplines, CFA is an advantage.
  • At least 3 years’ working experience in the Financial Services industry, ideally with experience in asset management.
  • Strong understanding of investment concepts, instruments, asset classes, financial derivatives, and end-to-end processes.
  • Experience in Project management, Business Analyst and intelligence, budgeting and analytical skills, and ability to multi-task.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills.
  • Experienced with Microsoft Office applications and excellent Excel and PowerPoint skills required. Coding experience using Python, Java and other programming software is an advantage.
  • Fluency in both written and spoken English.
