Aon South Africa is recruiting a Business Operations and Applications Support Officer based on a hybrid basis from our Head Office in Sandton. The Business Operations and Applications Support Officer is responsible for providing day to day support to the Aon Policy and Claims Management system, Client Portals and sales platforms.

QUALIFICATIONS

A minimum of Grade 12 or equivalent
A Bachelor’s degree is preferable

KNOWLEDGE

Knowledge of software development lifecycles
IT service management knowledge
A high degree of computer literacy including advanced knowledge of the MS Office Suite and a willingness and skill to learn new programs quickly.
Strategic knowledge of industry and business strategies and company goals.
An in depth understanding and knowledge of the applicable legislative framework that governs the industry.
IT Service management, including IM, PM, RM, CM
BCP / DR knowledge
Data privacy knowledge
Vendor management
Staff / Team management experience
Software testing experience
Process Mapping
Controls and Governance

EXPERIENCE.

5-10 years related experience working in the insurance broking environment, providing industry specific application support.
Exposure to service management processes
Experience of working with 3rd party, remote Teams
Demonstrated experience in successfully delivering business projects
Exposure to 1 or more PM Methodologies
Extensive knowledge of the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) – min 5 years
Typically possess at least a few years of business experience, with intermediate knowledge of functional area.
