WHAT QUALIFICATIONS YOU WILL NEED:

  • Bachelor’s Degree Required
  • Master’s Degree in Engineering Preferred
  • 7+ years experience in healthcare leadership Required
  • Acute Care experience Required
  • Lean/Six Sigma Certification (if Lean, Black Belt minimum) Required
  • Certification in ASQ Standards or other Operational Excellence Required
  • Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ) Preferred

Responsibilities:

  • Propose and support the development of new processes in and around the Expanse EHR that support agility, resilience, efficiency, and patient safety.
  • Scout emerging processes in other EHRs and health systems in order to define new opportunities that can add business value.
  • Assess existing processes and workflows at sites using Expanse to identify priorities and opportunities for improvement.
  • Employ performance improvement methodologies as standards for assessing workflow in and around Expanse.
  • Oversee the design, prototyping, testing, refinement, and implementation of new processes related to Expanse.
  • Track initiatives against key measurable success metrics to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Proactively identify and mitigate risks to the Expanse program strategy, project plans, and key milestones.
  • Work collaboratively with other members of the Expanse program to design and assess processes according to the principles of Lean, Six Sigma, or other process engineering modalities.
  • Adhere to the standard operating procedures of the Expanse program, including all supportive technologies used to organize and progress work efforts.
  • Supervise a team of process engineers to promote improvement within business operational workflows in the Expanse platform and the Expanse Program, including strategies for use of data and efficient operational processes.
  • Engages with Expanse product team, Division teams, and facility teams, Finance, data and analytics, and others to assess, design, and implement improved workflows with the Expanse platform.
  • Collaborates with cross-functional teams, including but not limited to the Expanse product team, Clinical Informatics, Finance division, and facility teams to assess processes, implement improvements, and sustain results, using a methodical process
  • Provides updates and reports to leadership on progress.
  • Disseminate best practices and learnings throughout the enterprise.
  • Participates in scoping of projects with key stakeholders.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
