Our complete waste management service incorporates the collection and safe disposal of solid and liquid waste. The company employs over 80 team members.
The company has ambitious sustainability 2030 targets that are based on existing technology and realistic deployment. This deliverable strategy builds the foundations for the next phase of our long-term ambition of reaching net-zero emissions across our direct operations by no later than 2050.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Third level degree and /or 10 years’ experience in a management position as an Operations / Transport / Logistics Manager or a related field desirable.
- Previous experience in the Waste management industry. (Preferably)
- Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience and understanding of Industry Operations/Plant and Machinery
- Experience in employee management and human resources.

Responsibilities:
- Key member of the Senior Leadership Team in the continuous development and growth of the organisation, with a strategic focus on effective leadership in change management. Delivering a strategic framework that facilitates smooth transitions and ensures that organisational goals are not only achieved but surpassed.
- Managing the operations in accordance with existing policies, implement decisions made by/with the Senior Leadership Team, and make all day-to-day decisions necessary for the efficient performance of the business.
- Observe and be responsible for ensuring that team members meet all operation policies and all other applicable standards and regulations and be responsible to the Senior Leadership Team for ensuring that the work is performed in accordance with the best industry standards.
- Active recruitment of new employees according to business needs.
- Work with the operational requirements for customers.
- Management an effective health, safety, and environmental management system in accordance with all appropriate legislation and with the objective of achieving an accident-free incident-free workplace - ISO 14001:2015 / 45001:2018 in conjunction with EH&S Manager
- Management of the Quality Systems of the Business Operations in conjunction with the Quality Manager - ISO 9001:2015
- Management of the operations team and performance of all equipment and facilities.
- Optimisation of equipment and processes in conjunction with management team to continually improve the equipment performance, efficiency and on-going review of routes and route optimisation, treatment processes and operations.
- Continuously evaluate and improve the efficiency of the business operations through the implementation of innovative technologies and industry best practices.
- Review and coordinate weekly and monthly meetings and processes using Microsoft Lists/ Planner or similar.Review of monthly tachograph reports.
