Description:
Robert Half is currently working with a client seeking a Purchasing Agent. The Purchasing Agent will be responsible for collaborating and negotiating with suppliers to purchase goods and services for the company. As the Purchasing Agent you will be processing purchase orders, in addition to locating suppliers and researching goods, services and materials. Your responsibilities
- Oversee relationships with key suppliers to maintain compliance to terms of contracts, quality of goods, and timely delivery
- Inquire about cost proposals and negotiate prices and contracts
- Perform research and then compare suppliers, goods, and services
- Manage records of all transactions, purchase orders, receipts, and payments
- Research supplier profiles and analyze offers
- Prepare and present detailed reports (revenues, buying expenditures, etc.)
- Prepare and process purchase orders
- Determine purchase needs and monitor inventory levels
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Demonstrated strong customer service skills while working with vendors and suppliers
- 1+ year working in a professional setting
- Excellent data entry skills
