ROLE: Business Operations Specialist
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Business Operations Specialist supports the Business Operations, HR, and Recruiting efforts. They will communicate frequently with internal staff and act in a customer service capacity to help answer questions and facilitate communication and understanding. This position requires a great deal of professionalism and the ability to communicate with people in a wide variety of styles. You will enjoy this position if you like collaboration, are detail-oriented, and like to help others.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Ability to communicate effectively in both written and spoken settings
- Three to five years of experience in an office environment - HR experience preferred
- High level of proficiency with Microsoft applications
- Excellent customer service skills and the ability to build and maintain professional relationships
- Collaboration and interpersonal skills
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
Responsibilities:
- Provide excellent customer service to coworkers and candidates
- Configure and support operations team portals and data sets
- Work as a team to improve operations and HR business practices
- Draft correspondence and other formal documents
- Review employee timesheets and prepare payroll
- Serve as a point of contact for employees
- Communicate with others in a calm, positive, and professional manner
- Assist with departmental changes and improvements
- Ensure that company policies and standards are upheld
- Take initiative and exercise autonomy
- Proactively make system improvements as appropriate and as needed
- Assist with composing company-wide announcements and updates
- Experience with HRIS preferred
- Recruiting experience preferred
- Onboarding process improvement
- Other duties as assigned
