ROLE: Business Operations Specialist

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Business Operations Specialist supports the Business Operations, HR, and Recruiting efforts. They will communicate frequently with internal staff and act in a customer service capacity to help answer questions and facilitate communication and understanding. This position requires a great deal of professionalism and the ability to communicate with people in a wide variety of styles. You will enjoy this position if you like collaboration, are detail-oriented, and like to help others.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Ability to communicate effectively in both written and spoken settings
  • Three to five years of experience in an office environment - HR experience preferred
  • High level of proficiency with Microsoft applications
  • Excellent customer service skills and the ability to build and maintain professional relationships
  • Collaboration and interpersonal skills
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred

Responsibilities:

  • Provide excellent customer service to coworkers and candidates
  • Configure and support operations team portals and data sets
  • Work as a team to improve operations and HR business practices
  • Draft correspondence and other formal documents
  • Review employee timesheets and prepare payroll
  • Serve as a point of contact for employees
  • Communicate with others in a calm, positive, and professional manner
  • Assist with departmental changes and improvements
  • Ensure that company policies and standards are upheld
  • Take initiative and exercise autonomy
  • Proactively make system improvements as appropriate and as needed
  • Assist with composing company-wide announcements and updates
  • Experience with HRIS preferred
  • Recruiting experience preferred
  • Onboarding process improvement
  • Other duties as assigned
