Business Partner, Culture, Communication and Engagement

Key Responsibilities:
Project Management
- Partner with the Head of People and Culture and the leadership teams to manage a variety of HR initiatives and projects end to end with supporting comms. This will include;
- Make a Difference Programme
- Diversity Equity and Inclusion project management
- Reward and Recognition which includes the Kaplan Awards, DBS Above and Beyond Award and the Annual Engagement Survey
- Adhoc Events e.g DBS group wide staff events
- Managing cross-collaboration events e.g lunch and learns and coffee connect
- Managing and coordinate training programmes as required
- Manage Adhoc projects as and when required
- Manage internal and external accreditation applications
Internal Communications
- Coordinate and action the agreed DBS communications plan and make suggestions for continuous improvements
- Ensure that our purpose, values, goals, and measures of success are threaded throughout all internal company communications
- Provide inspiration, materials and guidance to help our teams improve their communication
- Preparation of presentation materials for the organisation for delivery to SLT and all staff
- Delivery of all internal communications events and training on behalf of the HR department
- Build and communicate HR monthly newsletters to all staff
Culture and Staff Engagement
- Coordinate all aspects of the Employee Engagement / Make a Difference Programme
- Promote, coordinate and drive new initiatives under the Make a Difference Programme
- Roll-out programs that support Inclusivity and Diversity within DBS
- Manage the annual DBS Above and Beyond Awards and Long Service Awards
- Coordinate the annual Kaplan Way Awards and the annual employee survey
- Manage the DBS internal staff intranet and ensure it is up to date
- DEI Officer duties
Training and Development
- Conduct an annual training needs assessment of all departments and DBS as a whole
- Develop an annual training plan and calendar with approved budget
- Coordinate and source both internal and external training projects for DBS either directly or through the Kaplan network
HR Support
- Provide general administrative support to the HR team as and when required
Person Specification:
Competencies and Attributes
- Strong organisational skills, including the ability to manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously
- Strong interest in Diversity, Equity and Inclusion
- Strong project management skills, can create and implement plans and adapt to changing priorities and timelines quickly and easily
- Strong attention to detail
- Advanced oral and written communication skills, with the ability to present and communicate effectively to a range of stakeholders
- Flexible, adaptable, result driven & resilient
Essential Experience
- Minimum of 5 years experience working in a similar role
- Superior IT proficiency in word, excel and in particular PowerPoint, Canva and Photoshop.
- Experienced at developing and executing clear, creative and impactful communications and engagement initiatives
