JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Advanced Manufacturing Support Services -AMSS- Business Process Engineer is responsible to help develop and facilitate a manufacturing solution for our Turnkey Customers and their electronic assemblies (PCBAs). They are the technical liaison between the OEM Customer, The EMS Provider, and the PCB Fab Supplier. This process requires documentation review to identify and facilitate corrections. They work with the suppliers and customers to create an efficient high-quality manufacturing solution while limiting the risk for potential liability to Arrow. Provide expertise in the areas of Document Control, Manufacturing, Electrical Test and overall product quality at both the supplier and customer level. Support technical relationships with our customers by working with AMSS manufacturing partners and internal resources on problem resolution. Pursue continuous process improvement by evaluating process and quality on behalf of the customer.
This specific position requires a resident of Mexico.
Candidate will be responsible for establishing a new EMS (CM) partner in Mexico for Arrow AMSS.

Responsibilities:

  • Release product for manufacturing - Create and approve a manufacturing process with limited liability for various products.
  • Utilize individual and team technical knowledge, customer specifications and supplier capabilities to create a low-cost, high-quality manufacturing solution.
  • Documentation reviews consist of bills of material, assembly drawings, PCB fab drawings and gerbers, custom fabricated drawings, electrical test procedures, schematic and quality requirements.
  • Monitor & maintain high quality production yields through the life of the program.
  • Travel to customers and suppliers as needed.
  • Represent the customer in the areas of Document Control, Manufacturing, Test and Quality.
  • Facilitate product and process changes utilizing the DFM (Design for Manufacturability) process.
  • Resolve test failures and disposition MRB in a timely manner.
  • Complete Field Quality Reports (FQRs) when there are any significant quality issues.
  • Support the AMSS Quotes Team on any technical issues.
  • Stay current with the latest developments in technology through training and education.
  • Relationship Management -
  • Possess the understanding of the Distribution model as relates to manufacturing in order to develop influential relationships with internal and external customers, including Contract Manufacturers, PCB Fab Suppliers, and The Arrow Sales Branch.
  • Help with Continuous Process Improvement within AMSS.
  • Explain technical issues to the AMSS Program Managers and the Sales Teams.
