Responsibilities:

WHAT YOU’LL DO

We currently have an exciting 6-month maximum term contract (with possibility to extend to 12) opportunity for an experienced and passionate Business Project Manager to join our PMO where you will work collaboratively with business owners, technology and key stakeholders across the business to build cross-functional project delivery teams.
You will provide project leadership, expertise and guidance throughout the end-to-end project lifecycle, adopting both Agile and Waterfall methodologies, to ensure the successful delivery of projects. You will also support the PMO responsibilities within the team to ensure effective management of project artefacts, approvals and adherence to the Project Governance Framework.
This role offers hybrid work arrangements from our Sydney CBD and Sydney Olympic Park offices with the flexibility to work from home as agreed and required.

Some of your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Creation and maintenance of project documentation including overview, scope, RACI, governance, deliverables, benefits realisation plan, project plan, key milestones & schedule, stakeholder engagement plan, status reporting, feature & functionality traceability matrix and dependencies, business test plan, training, go/no go criteria, project budget and post implementation reporting.
  • Plan, initiate and co-ordinate required workshops and working sessions during each of the Project Stage Gates to facilitate seamless and timely progression along intended project delivery timeline.
  • For projects including technology developments, build, test and release components as well as work with Technology PM to ensure all activities are executed to overall project plan.
  • Support Business Analysts and provide input into creation of traceability matrices, process flow and mapping documentation.
  • Support Change Leads and provide input into change management plans, Business Test cases and training plans & material.
  • Support internal business stakeholders with business proposal and business case documentation for medium and large capex projects.
  • Create and maintain meaningful relationships across the organisation including but not limited to Business Owners and Sponsors, Technology, Membership & Motoring, Finance, Corporate Services.
  • Establish and maintain financial management and control of projects to ensure projects are delivered within budget and adherence to DOA process.
  • Contribute to the ongoing development and improvement of the methodology, framework, tools and templates for project management across the business.
  • Maintain reporting and roadmap updates with tracking and governance information in a timely manner in line with the Investment Approval process.
  • Ensure all projects are taken through the relevant Investment Forum at all stage gates as required to secure approval for funding as well as the Data governance process for review and approval.
  • Project Administration & Co-ordination including minute taking, action lists, Risk & Dependency registers, purchase order and invoicing etc.

Business Project Manager - Level 2 role requirements

  • 3-5 years+ experience in Project Management.
  • Agile and Waterfall Project Management certification.
  • Leadership of small programs of work comprising multiple initiatives or squads.
  • Release level management experience
  • Ability to lead complex projects with significant budget (+$1m

General Project Management role requirements

  • Project Management certification & experience (within both waterfall and agile environments) with responsibility for all of project delivery across different types of projects (size, complexity, industry, type)
  • Strong presentation and written & verbal communication skills with the ability to form strong cross-functional relationships in a remote working environment
  • Appreciation of both Technology and Business strategy & operations
  • Ability to work on a diverse range of multiple concurrent projects
  • Strong budget management expertise including creation of project costing and budget from ground up and reporting (actual, forecast and variance)
  • Self-starter who uses own initiative and team collaboration to work through ideas, challenges, issues and risks with the ability to ask for help and guidance
  • Ability to manage stakeholders and work collaboratively to ensure they complete actions, deliver on deadlines, and meet key deliverables
  • Analytical and highly organised operator with the ability to work independently as well as a team player that recognises and celebrates succes
