Description:

REQUIREMENTS

Education

  • Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computational

Mathematics or Finance related.

Working Experience

  • 3 years of working experience, with a minimum of 2 years of experience in

IT and Business Intelligence, Information Systems and Information Analysis
and minimum 2 years of experience in Finance/Controlling task supporting

business units. However, candidate with less experienced can be considered to begin with Senior Analyst for the role.

  • Proven experience as a BI Developer or Data Scientist

Technical & Professional Knowledge

  • Experience and familiarity with BI technologies or business analytics

tools such as Power BI and Tableau.

  • In-depth understanding of database management system, SQL Server

setup, SQL Database Design/Construction, SQL script, ETL framework,
Natural Language Processing, and programming knowledge. Other
databases experience would be a plus, such as SAP HANA, Oracle, DB2

etc.

  • Skills and experience in MS Excel, SAP Analysis Office, Visual Basic,

Think-cell application, VBA scripting and other programming languages.

  • Experience working with SAP, Business Warehouse (BW) data applications

is an added advantage.

Responsibilities:

MAIN TASKS

A. Reporting & BI Solutions

  • Understand controlling and business requirements to create or develop dashboards by using business

analytics/data visualization tools to simplify data preparation, produce interactive visualization reports and drive ad

hoc analysis.

  • Design and lead SQL database development, maintenance, and related projects.
  • Data preparation and modelling, develop BI front end templates, support the front-end users with data from the

data structures (i.e., SQL databases).

  • To identify and implement automation programming both in SQL data preparation and reporting applications (i.e.,

VBA scripts for Excel).

  • Updating/adjusting report/dashboard templates and maintaining queries (in case of changes in reporting or

business organization).

  • Structure and reconcile basic data in preparation for further processing and report/dashboard generation, ensure

data quality and consistency (give meaning to data).

  • Manage timely completion of financially oriented reports/dashboard based on standards or business-specific

requirements.

  • Resolve and clarify issues (including ad-hoc queries) directly with controlling counterparts/business partner in

continuous and close interaction.

  • To identify and implement optimization and improvement potential in reports, processes, and existing BI. Plan and

coordinate implementation of improvement measures in close cooperation with experts and business partners.

  • Collaborate with team to integrate system and educate/train and share knowledge to the users.

B. Controlling

  • Act as controlling partner for key stakeholders and provide advisory services.
  • Provide timely analysis and review/monitor performance with target.
  • Communicate frequently across different supporting and business units for cost specific topics and proactively

highlight issues/risks.

  • Support regular communication with Regional Finance & Controlling, Regional Support Units and all relevant

parties.

  • Support for scheduled business steering meeting.
  • Ensure that finance & accounting policies & procedure are adhered to.
  • Support external/internal audit activities (if any)
