Deloitte’ Controllership Market Offering helps CFOs, CCOs, controllers, and business unit finance leaders in implementing the latest accounting changes; dealing with complex business issues and capital markets transactions; working to meet financial reporting needs and regulatory and investor expectations.
The Business Solution Analyst is a member of a team that performs accounting and reporting services for real estate investment vehicles and funds.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance /Accounting
  • 1+ years of relevant experience with GAAP / statutory reporting / fair value reporting in the real estate industry (REIT structures, real estate advisor, real estate funds)
  • Proficiency in MS office including Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and Word
  • Experience working with various software packages such as Yardi, ARC, Geneva, Investran, or similar
  • Ability to travel up to 15%, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Master’s degree in Finance or Accounting
  • CPA License; active or currently pursing
  • Audit experience in the real estate industry is a plus but not required
    The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $66,300 - $110,500.
    You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.

Responsibilities:

  • Produce Asset and/or Funds monthly/quarterly financial statement, GAAP adjustments, variance analysis, Asset and Debt appraisals
  • Advance your technical accounting knowledge for acquisition/divestiture of properties, assets in development stage, equity method investments, joint ventures, REITs, waterfalls, contributions/distributions
  • Review property level trial balances and financial statements for accuracy and adjustments
  • Review and / or prepare variance analysis on financial performance of real estate investments
  • Prepare and record journal entries
  • Preparation of audited/non-audited fund financial statements and support audit process
  • Collaborate with all internal and external stakeholders including client personnel from Finance, Asset Management, and Fund Reporting as well as Property Management firms
  • Responsible for day-to-day client and team communications to manage and timely complete activities with a responsive and problem-solving mindset
  • Other ad hoc activities in support of team or client initiatives
