ESSENTIAL SKILLS

We’re looking for someone with demonstrable experience in a Senior role that has strong organisational skills and communication abilities, with a proactive approach to problem-solving and a passion for continuous improvement in process, data, quality, and people. This role involves collaborating with stakeholders in a dynamic business environment.
As the Business Support Manager, you will lead your team to own the production of data, manage the data management system, and generate comprehensive reporting and analytics. Your team will lead a program of Continuous Professional Development (CPD) to boost our team’s skills and they will also support the wider team by managing administrative tasks to make sure that our operation runs smoothly. At the same time, you’ll proactively monitor future challenges and opportunities through horizon scanning, while making sure our operations meet high-quality standards.
While this role is in a military setting, you don’t need a military background to succeed here.

KNOWLEDGE MANAGEMENT:

To lead the Business Support Team to be able to:

  • Maintain the Document Review Management Plan ensuring that it remains up to date and accurate.
  • Own the data management system, ensuring its suitability for purpose, generating meaningful data, maintaining accuracy, and enabling the generation of comprehensive reporting and analytics.
  • Oversee data accuracy, security, and accessibility.
  • Implement strategies to optimise data quality.
  • Provide reports, dashboards and outputs as required.
  • Provide support and ensure adherence to the ‘Training Administration and Financial Management Information System’ (TAFMIS) approach to training design.

DESIRABLE SKILLS:

  • Having a thorough understanding of DSAT (the Defence Systems Approach to Training) and/or other learning processes such as ADDIE.
  • Have experience and understanding of training analysis and design which would ideally be in a Royal Navy context or a further education setting.
  • Ability to use data and information to create insight and to drive service/performance improvements.
  • Evidence of understanding and analysing client requirements building curriculum and training to support those needs.
  • Work flexibly to address client needs emerging over the contract life.
  • Understand processes applied to training analysis and design and have experience in various development and delivery environments.
  • Experience in the use of technology to support learning delivery.
