About the role
- Provide assistance to the Senior Finance Officer by undertaking a range of financial functions including those activities associated with the financial management of statutory requirements, financial analysis, budget development, maintenance and reporting, accrual accounting processes and general ledger activities. The role is to be performed in a manner that promotes the provision of quality and timely financial information and advice to Metro North Health.

- Knowledge or the ability to acquire knowledge of accounting and budgeting concepts, cost centre management at an organisational level, including financial management procedures and requirements.
- Sound knowledge and application of financial information systems, contemporary word processing and spread sheet applications, including S4HANA, DSS, J-Man and Excel.
- Well-developed negotiation, consultation, communication, time management and interpersonal skills with an emphasis on the ability to liaise with internal and external clients.
- Ability to work both autonomously and as a member of a team within a service environment, and proven ability to deliver outcomes within allocated timeframes.
- Ability to actively participate in a working environment supporting quality and contemporary human resource management practices including Workplace Health and Safety, Equal Opportunity, Anti-Discrimination and the Code of Conduct.
