Description:
The role Provide comprehensive administrative and business support for the branch by coordinating asset management, accounts payable, and purchasing activities. Contribute to budget management by monitoring and reviewing budget activity and supporting senior business positions as required. Assist with branch correspondence and communications, maintain central email accounts, and communicate financial reporting deadlines and information to business and administration staff regularly. Efficiently collate, create, and maintain monthly and quarterly registers, resolving any outstanding issues promptly. Aid senior business staff with monthly and quarterly reporting processes, including collating reports, analysing financial transactions, reviewing GL accounts, and processing journals.
Assist in preparing monthly and ad hoc financial reports for stakeholders to facilitate timely decision-making. Support the effective operation of the branch by coordinating all administrative human resource management activities and documentation as requested. Utilize information technology and financial systems to monitor, investigate, and analyse financial data, ensuring compliance and maintaining general ledger integrity. Participate in the development, review, and implementation of business and administrative policies and procedures. Liaise, consult, and negotiate across all areas of the department or division to obtain or provide relevant and timely information, and undertake other duties as requested by the Team Leader.
The successful personTo excel in this role, you should possess demonstrated experience and expertise in departmental budgetary and human resource processes, including current experience in using S4 Hana and in particular good receipting, purchase requisition creation and vendor setup. You should be proficient in extracting, collating, and interpreting data to prepare and present statistical and financial reports. Additionally, you must have the ability to independently resolve problems and work autonomously to meet organizational objectives.
Furthermore, you should have exceptional interpersonal, consultation, and communication skills, including tact, discretion, sensitivity, and confidentiality. The ability to effectively interact and work with senior management and staff is essential. A strong understanding of contemporary human resource management issues, such as workplace health and safety, equal employment opportunity, and anti-discrimination, is also required, along with the capability to provide leadership, direction, and advice within the team environment.
