The role As a Business Systems Support Technician, you will report to the Factory IT Team and support the manufacturing floor for their various needs related to IT, such as everyday end-user troubleshooting, help maintain printers and other supplemental hardware, perform ad-hoc data collection and analysis, review changes to operating procedures, and implement tactical support of changes. In this role you will work closely together with other IT teams that specialize in different areas of manufacturing IT. What You’ll Do

  • Be an enthusiastic and humble ambassador of Tesla Factory Software on manufacturing floor
  • Advise and assist production associates to find the best solution to perform their tasks using factory software systems
  • Identify and solve basic software, network, printing problems
  • Troubleshoot hardware issues and replace hardware like printer, scanners, manufacturing HMI (windows or linux based)
  • Work with multiple departments in high pressure urgent need scenarios
  • Resolve issues quickly and precisely to completion and prioritize multiple tasks
  • Provide on call support and act as incident manager for late and night shifts when on call or working shift on site
  • Be nimble with changing manufacturing process and have bias to action

What You’ll Bring

  • Basic MySQL knowledge, including writing and executing basic queries
  • Show competency in learning new software and functionality in various production systems software
  • Good communication skills in English, both orally and in writing
  • Capability to quickly learn the software systems
  • Ability to understand software error codes and troubleshoot the issues with the available documentation
  • Proven experience with Microsoft Excel
  • Must be flexible to work weekends and any shift
  • Able to perform repetitious, detailed assignments and ad-hoc data analysis

Nice to have

  • Familiarity with working with APIs, with preference for experience using tools like Postman
  • German language is a big plus
  • Degree or working towards a degree in computer science, industrial engineering or electrical Engineering is a big plus
  • Knowledge of, or experience with any of the following technologies: SQL queries, Splunk queries, Linux, computer networks, configuring Zebra printers using ZPL
  • Work experience in automotive or other manufacturing environments
