Description:

Collaborates with the Property Management Budgeting team during implementation, training, and execution of the Company’s budgeting application(s) and system(s). Generate and analyze budget reporting to provide management with data to formulate strategies, reports, and actions for improving adoption and performance.

  • Identifies areas for improvement and offers suggestions to improve efficiency and productivity.
  • Practices proper safety techniques in accordance with Company, property, and departmental policies, procedures, and standards by immediately reporting any mechanical or electrical equipment malfunctions, employee/visitor/resident injuries or accidents, or other safety issues to the appropriate individual(s).
  • Follows established policies and procedures by monitoring and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, organizational standards, and operational processes related to area(s) of responsibility and reporting violations or infractions to appropriate individual(s)

Responsibilities:

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist with the development, maintenance, and configuration of budget reports and templates through the company’s corporate budgeting platform.
  • Provide support to corporate budget leaders with the use of the system, templates, reporting, and related troubleshooting through e-mail or virtually through Teams.
  • Participate in necessary system maintenance and administration of the budget platform including tasks such as data imports and exports, calculation configuration, and permission management.
  • Participate in end-user training as required and demonstrate the ability to translate technical processes into instructions for non-technical users.
  • Engage in discovery, planning, executing, and testing efforts for new development projects.
  • Demonstrate the ability to interpret user requests and translate them into technical requirements. Engage with internal and external team members to clarify and validate requests and intended results.
  • Support platform development efforts by adhering to project timelines and deadlines. Provide timely communication related to project progress and status.
  • Document development work, planning, and processes related to the use of the system aligned with development work completed and any support provided. This may include both internal technical documentation as well as materials intended for end-users.

OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Participate in development, support, training, testing, and administration tasks in other functional areas of the Property Management Budgeting team as necessary. Complete various financial, accounting, administrative, and other duties as assigned or as necessary.
  • College degree in accounting, business, finance, information technology, or related field, and/or equivalent experience is highly preferred.
  • Demonstrated mathematical skills necessary to add, subtract, multiply, and divide numbers, decimals, and fractions, and calculate percentages in order to complete financial records, budgets, and other fiscal reporting information.
  • Must be proactive, self-directed, highly motivated, and possess skills in time management in order to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • High degree of proficiency in Excel, formulas, basic accounting knowledge and data validation in order to complete required reports and communication materials. VBA experience is preferred, but not required.
  • Must demonstrate strong ability to manage confidentiality and professionalism when exposed to sensitive information.

The salary range for this position is $60,000 to $80,000.
Compensation is based on geographic location and individual pay decisions will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.
Corporate Positions: In addition to the base salary, may be eligible for an annual performance bonus that is based on individual and company performance.
Onsite Property Positions: In addition to the base salary, may be eligible for a discretionary weekly, monthly and/or quarterly bonus based on budget.
