OVERALL SUMMARY:

The Business Systems Analyst II will plan, design, develop and launch efficient business, financial, and operations systems in support of core organizational functions and business processes.

REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES/COMPETENCIES:

  • Experienced in the operation and analysis of database hardware, software, and standards, as well as data retrieval methodologies and manipulation concepts.
  • Excellent understanding of the organization’s goals and objectives.
  • Understands all phases of the project life cycle and incorporates SDLC practices that are suitable for each project.
  • Strong technical understanding.
  • Ability to excel in fast paced demanding production environment.
  • Excellent problem-solving and customer service skills.
  • Microsoft Office Suite proficiency.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication skills.
  • Keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to conduct research into systems issues as required.
  • Self-starter and able to work independently.
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks and deliver results.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical or business field and/or 4+ years related work experience.
  • Extensive experience with core software applications, including ERP, production planning, scheduling and inventory control systems, accounting systems and data processing services.
  • Working knowledge of IWCO’s business systems.
  • Printing industry and/or manufacturing knowledge a plus.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability to work 8 hours consecutively.
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Pre-employment background check and drug screen required.

Responsibilities:

  • Gather and analyze data in support of business cases, proposed projects, and systems requirements.
  • Generate and compile reports based on the findings, complete with probable causes and possible solutions to systems issues.
  • Apply proven communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills to help maximize the benefit of IT system investments.
  • Meet with decision makers, systems owners, and end users to define business, financial, and operations requirements and systems goals, and identify and resolve systems issues.
  • Lead design sessions in prototyping new systems for the purpose of enhancing business processes, operations, and information process flow.
  • Review and analyze the effectiveness and efficiency of existing systems and develop strategies for improving or further leveraging these systems.
  • Identify and establish scope and parameters of systems analysis in order to define outcome criteria and measure-taking actions.
  • Collaborate in the planning, design, development, and deployment of new applications, and enhancements to existing applications.
  • Conduct research on software and hardware products to justify recommendations and to support purchasing efforts.
  • Prepare and deliver reports, recommendations, or alternatives that address existing and potential trouble areas in operating systems across the organization.
  • Create system design proposals.
  • Ensure compatibility and interoperability of in-house computing systems.
  • Create systems models, specifications, diagrams, and charts to provide direction to system programmers.
  • Coordinate and perform in-depth tests, including end-user reviews, for modified and new systems, and other post-implementation support.
  • Collaborate with QA and Training support teams to orient end users for all modified and new systems.
  • Occasionally directed in several aspects of work.
  • Assists in implementing regulatory compliance requirements for in-house computing systems.
  • Perform other (or other related) duties as applicable or assigned.
