Description:
Job Summary:
The functional lead is a strategic member of the IT department. They will oversee the development of functional solutions, collaborating with the development team to ensure alignment with the business requirements. Provide guidance on best practices for solution design and contribute to decision-making processes.
This position will work directly with IT leadership, executive leadership, product owners, technical team, and various SHI departments to ensure successful implementation of F&O solutions.
This position is required to report to the SHI Austin, TX or SHI Somerset NJ office location as determined by SHI management.

Responsibilities:
Include, but are not limited to:
- Provide leadership in defining and executing functional strategies, ensuring alignment with the overall business goals.
- Guide and mentor, the functional team, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and facilitate communication between teams.
- Translate business requirements into functional specifications, ensuring clarity and feasibility.
- Provide guidance on best practices for solution design and contribute to decision-making processes.
- Assist in deployment planning process, providing support to ensure smooth transition and user adoption.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to address any post-deployment issues and optimize functional performance.
- Manages and resolves issues, defects, and change requests.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or relevant work experience
- Minimum 8+ years of experience in creating functional design documents and leading design sessions.
- Minimum 5+ years supervisory or leadership experience of large teams.
- Minimum 5+ years experience in functional leadership roles, with a focus on project management.
- Minimum 3+ years of experience as a functional lead on F&O and/or ERP integrated projects.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future
Required Skills:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Expert knowledge of business applications - ERP (Microsoft D365 F&O) and an understanding of capabilities in CRM (Microsoft D365 Sales, Marketing, and Customer Service)
- Strong understanding of Agile practices including Scrum
Additional Information:
- The estimated annual pay range for this position is $130,000 - $180,000 which includes a base salary and bonus. The compensation for this position is dependent on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and market location and, therefore, will vary from individual to individual. Benefits may include, but are not limited to, medical, vision, dental, 401K, and flexible spending.
