Description:
The West Elm Business to Business Team is looking for an experienced Trade Sales Associate to work in our Westfield store. Reporting to the Business Sales Account Manager, this key role will provide high-level support to customers as well as internal team to drive trade and coordinate customer orders. Merchandising Managers and Store Managers to deliver our in-store visual merchandising plans. This is a great opportunity if you have a passion for homewares, sales, and customer service.
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE
- Customer Service work experience - preferred
- Furniture and Interior Design industry experience - preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office software (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Excellent and effective oral and written communication internally and externally
- Strong organisational, analytical and administrative skills
- Fluid interpersonal skills to interact effectively with a wide range of customers, teams and departments.
- Understanding of order fulfilment process and delivery service.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects
- A desire to achieve a high level of professionalism through continuous improvement processes and practices.
Responsibilities:
- Generate accurate proformas upon request of clients and reviewed for accuracy and completeness before being sent.
- Ensure excellent customer service during the order process and aftercare.
- Create and publish weekly trade sales reports as well as keeping records updated daily.
- Ensure that all communication with internal and external customers is timely, accurate and meets customer requirements for information and order status.
- Network and generate leads for new business opportunities and maintaining existing ones.
- Carry out requested tasks to support the store and wider sales team.
