ABOUT OUR CLIENT:

Our client is a technology leader in the industrial air filtration sector. Their organization provides dependable products specifically designed to assist in preserving a safe and secure working environment by effectively capturing and containing smoke, dust, and fume particles. Our client’s extensive range of products is distributed and applied on a global scale through their highly skilled international sales and engineering teams.
Our client is seeking a full-time, bilingual, buyer responsible for administrating the procurement process for all production and inventory, customer-related and building maintenance requests. Daily duties include obtaining supplier quotations, placing purchase orders, ensuring on-time delivery of parts, confirming/auditing receipts, and bill matching/entry.

What You’ll Do:

  • Assist internal clients by researching product information and purchase options, contacting suppliers, obtaining price quotes, and negotiating costs
  • Monitor inbound confirmed purchase orders
  • Procure products and/or services as needed
  • Coordinate transportation with suppliers and sub-contractors
  • Follow-up with vendors to confirm delivery, advise Customer Service, Engineering, and/or Manufacturing of any critical delays
  • Coordinate with internal and supplier logistics to ensure timely delivery
  • Process Sales Order-to-Purchase Order and other Purchase Requests as needed
  • Reconciliation of supplier invoices with purchase order and packing slip
  • Keep current with processing procedures, company policies, and accuracy/service level standards
  • Contribute to non-core activities when called upon; such as inventory count, BOM adjustments, R&D costing projects, etc.

What You’ll Need:

  • Customer first attitude, combined with a minimum of 3 years of purchasing experience
  • Experience with ERP/MRP software an asset
  • Ability to always remain professional and courteous with customers and colleagues.
  • Fluently Bilingual (French and English) spoken and written
  • Organizational/prioritization skills to be able to work in a multitasking environment.
  • Ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
  • Proficiency in MS Office tools - Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Experience in Microsoft Dynamics
  • Strong understanding of purchasing, inventory, and warehouse operational processes
