Description:
We are seeking a Buyer for our manufacturing team based in Leominster, Massachusetts. This role centers around managing all buying activities, scheduling material delivery, and assisting with special projects.
Responsibilities
- Oversee all purchasing activities within the manufacturing industry
- Schedule and coordinate the delivery of materials as per project requirements
- Assist with special projects related to purchasing and procurement
- Utilize Microsoft Excel for data management and purchasing functions
- Adhere to established buying processes and procedures
- Collaborate with team members and other departments to ensure efficient operation
- Resolve any issues or discrepancies with orders and deliveries
- Continually evaluate supplier performance to ensure quality and reliability
- Stay informed about market trends and changes affecting supply and demand
- Implement strategies to improve buying processes and reduce costs.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is essential for this role.
- Demonstrated understanding and experience with buying processes in a manufacturing setting.
- Extensive knowledge of the manufacturing industry and its related purchasing activities.
- Proven ability to perform purchasing functions effectively within a team.
- Previous experience in purchasing procurement is highly desirable.
- Strong ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to negotiate, establish, and administer contracts.
- Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in work.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
