Job Title C++ Engineer – Core Trading Technology

Our Core Trading Technology (CTT) team are working with modern technology to support our award-winning electronic trading systems across Foreign Exchange, Rates and Listed Derivatives businesses.
You will be working with core frameworks supporting complex trading algorithms and able to satisfy single digit or low double digit microseconds tick-to-order latency requirements. The roadmap for core trading frameworks is fully packed and the team is working in a lock step with product teams to deliver client focused solution.
Our team uses modern C and C++ standards supported by latest versions of GCC and Clang compilers as well as Python based automated testing tools. Our team of experts will be there to coach and support your development to ensure you excel in this role. Enhance your career prospects through exposure to these advanced technologies and tools.
YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- Familiarity with modern C and C++ programming languages with the focus on a performant code design
- Practical knowledge of Python is highly desirable
- Excellent grasp of common computer science topics including but not limited to data structures, algorithms and practical application of these
- Knowledge of modern SDLC toolset and workflows

Responsibilities:
- Undertaking development across functional and non-functional project goals
- Investing in automated testing coverage and test-driven development
- Performance research and ability to apply out of the box thinking to solve performance or bandwidth bottlenecks
- Close collaboration with trading, product and production support partners on a wide range of topics including platform goals, design, feedback on enhancements and usability
- Clear and concise documentation covering the solution design, architecture choices and any complicated code points
