Description:
We are currently seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Designer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating comprehensive millwork designs, estimating project costs, and ensuring that all design specifications align with client requirements and industry standards. This role requires a strong understanding of both design principles and cost estimation methodologies within the millwork industry.
PREFERRED/REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelors degree/Diploma in Architecture, Interior Design, or related field.
- Past experience in millwork design is preferred.
- Proficiency in industry-standard design software such as AutoCAD.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to interpret and translate client requirements into precise design plans.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to accurately estimate project costs, including materials, labour, and overhead expenses.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise with clients, vendors, and internal teams effectively.
- A proactive and adaptable approach to work, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
- Familiarity with millwork materials, manufacturing processes, and construction techniques is preferred.
- Skilled in use of Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the Design team to develop detailed millwork designs and specifications based on client requirements and project objectives.
- Utilize industry-specific software to create accurate 2D and 3D drawings, renderings, and models for client approval and manufacturing purposes.
- Assess project scope, materials, and labor requirements to generate precise cost estimates and quotations for client proposals and bids.
- Conduct thorough material take-offs and sourcing to determine the necessary quantities and costs of materials required for each project.
- Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to obtain accurate pricing information and ensure timely delivery of materials in line with project timelines.
- Review and analyze project blueprints, architectural plans, and design specifications to identify potential challenges and propose effective solutions.
- Collaborate with Project Managers, Production teams, and clients to ensure seamless communication and alignment throughout the project lifecycle.
- Visit project sites to take measurements, meet with clients and get visuals.
- Assist the Design team as needed.
