Description:

JOB SUMMARY

This position is responsible for using multidisciplinary engineering knowledge to provide support and service to production, sales/customer, and/or engineering departments by improving existing product specifications, this involves using existing documents and actual measurements of components to create accurate drawings that will be used to produce components.

QUALIFICATIONS/ BACKGROUND EXPERIENCES

Requires a four-year college degree in an engineering, scientific, or technical discipline (12 months of CAD experience is required) and a minimum of 3 years of experience as Manufacturing, Quality, R&D Engineer or related environment (medical device industry is preferred). English language proficiency (both written and spoken) is required. Intermediate computer software skills, i.e. Microsoft Office

Responsibilities:

  1. In all actions, demonstrates a primary commitment to patient safety and product quality by maintaining compliance to the Quality Policy and all other documented quality processes and procedures.
  2. Collect information on product requirements/specifications
  3. Assist in the creation of new drawings, revisions and sample builds.
  4. Check files into document control system and provide CAD files to requesting parties.
  5. Troubleshoot problems by inspection and discussion with other personnel to determine the best course of action to correct the problem.
  6. Interact with sales representatives and customers for clarifications as needed for CAD specifications used to assemble cardiovascular convenience kits.
  7. Work with other engineers to design and create prototype parts in response to design process.
  8. Apply engineering knowledge to propose solutions/enhancements to kit problems or modifications to kits.
  9. Provide support to Drawing department and other departments on specification/bill of materials issues and improvements.
  10. Maintain specification logs and history folder.
  11. Perform other duties as assigned.
