Description:
JOB SUMMARY
This position is responsible for using multidisciplinary engineering knowledge to provide support and service to production, sales/customer, and/or engineering departments by improving existing product specifications, this involves using existing documents and actual measurements of components to create accurate drawings that will be used to produce components.
QUALIFICATIONS/ BACKGROUND EXPERIENCES
Requires a four-year college degree in an engineering, scientific, or technical discipline (12 months of CAD experience is required) and a minimum of 3 years of experience as Manufacturing, Quality, R&D Engineer or related environment (medical device industry is preferred). English language proficiency (both written and spoken) is required. Intermediate computer software skills, i.e. Microsoft Office
Responsibilities:
- In all actions, demonstrates a primary commitment to patient safety and product quality by maintaining compliance to the Quality Policy and all other documented quality processes and procedures.
- Collect information on product requirements/specifications
- Assist in the creation of new drawings, revisions and sample builds.
- Check files into document control system and provide CAD files to requesting parties.
- Troubleshoot problems by inspection and discussion with other personnel to determine the best course of action to correct the problem.
- Interact with sales representatives and customers for clarifications as needed for CAD specifications used to assemble cardiovascular convenience kits.
- Work with other engineers to design and create prototype parts in response to design process.
- Apply engineering knowledge to propose solutions/enhancements to kit problems or modifications to kits.
- Provide support to Drawing department and other departments on specification/bill of materials issues and improvements.
- Maintain specification logs and history folder.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
