Description:

Randstad is excited to support one of our established client’s, located in Burlington in their search for a CAD Designer to join their expanding Structrual team. This individual should have experience with a Civil Consulting firm or background in the Civil Construction sector. Our client has had year-on-year growth and are therefore looking to bring on an individual who is passionate about growing and developing within their career. Our client is committed to innovation and and is proud to house state of the art technology.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience working in the Civil sector
  • High proficiency with Autodesk AutoCAD, and 2D OR 3-D modelling and SolidWorks
  • Experience with structural steel, reinforced concrete. Structural Detailing OR mechanical design
  • Understanding of engineering principles, assembly, fabrication, and construction
  • Experience with Quantity Take-Offs an asset
  • Experience with the software, Inventor, an asset

Responsibilities:

  • Develop reinforced concrete drawings based on design provided by engineers
  • Coordinate with engineers, shop and construction operations to meet fabrication and constructability requirements
  • Develop mechanical drawings based on contractual requirements
  • Develop shop drawings (steel plate and piping)
  • Perform tasks involving 3-D modelling
  • Use AutoCAD and Solidworks on a nearly daily basis
