At Integrated Water Services (IWS), we make water better! We serve clients ranging from real estate developers, governments, and food and beverage and industrial manufacturers. And we are growing!
IWS is looking for a CONSTRUCTION CAD DESIGNER to support the growth of the company.
Location: Our preference is for the candidate to be within a commutable distance of one of our main offices in Bulverde, TX, Austin, TX or Longmont, CO.
The CAD Designer will support the engineers in the Technical & Digital Services Group with projects focused on decentralized potable water and wastewater solutions for both residential and commercial sectors, as well as vital public infrastructure improvements.

Responsibilities include:

• 2D and 3D representations of piping and equipment layouts
• Incorporate markups into design and construction drawings
• Electrical plans per engineer’s direction
• Identify needs to outsource and maintain oversight of outsourced drafters
• Civil grading and yard plans per engineer direction
• Maintain library of blocks and standards

The ideal candidate will have:

• An Associates Degree in computer-aided drafting/design or related field or equivalent work experience
• Minimum 2 years working in a professional architectural or engineering environment
• Demonstrated proficiency in AutoDesk Inventor, Vault, and AutoCAD
• Certifications indicating proficiency in applicable programs (preferred)
• Strong organizational skills· Ability to think in a three-dimensional manner and translate it into 2D representations
• Excellent attention to detail
