Job Purpose
As a CAD Designer, you will lead the production of fabrication, stack-up, and sequence drawings in accordance with TechnipFMC standards, with a permanent concern for quality, targets, and customer satisfaction.

Main Duties

  • Performs in accordance with department instructions, ensuring that all design deliverables are in accordance with customer requirements, the project QHSE plan, and TechnipFMC processes and standards.
  • Works independently on standard product and directly works on complex design tasks or related activities at both component and system level.
  • Supervises less experienced engineering personnel by checking their 3D models and performs draft check of 2D drawings ensuring quality and efficiency of deliverables, and providing advice and assistance
  • Creates Conceptual Design Layouts from inception of design (from freehand sketch / verbal instruction / marked up layouts), Attends design reviews when required to support any CAD related questions. Input to the design discussions. Highlight task alterations and timescales slippage to CAD Lead and/or Design Engineer
  • Communication with relevant cross functional groups during tasks (e.g. CAD, Engineering, Manufacture Engineering, Commercial, etc.) and participate in cross functional teams and cross functional training. Provide feedback to the CAD and Engineering teams to assist with the execution of tasks when CAD Lead is unavailable.

You are meant for this job if:

  • Hold an HNC in Mechanical Engineering or CADD
  • Experience working within a similar industry with a strong knowledge of drafting, design, testing standards and tools
  • Effective time management and project management skills
  • Committed to essential QHSE fundamentals
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Ability to transfer expertise and persuade
  • Ability to supervise diverse cultural team
