Fourblue has teamed up with a multi-utility connections provider, that specialises in the design, installation, and delivery of gas, electricity, and water infrastructure for residential, industrial, and commercial projects. Due to expansion within the company, they are seeking a CAD Technician / Administrator to join their growing team.
You will be able to self-motivate and effectively time manage your workload, appreciating the need to balance accuracy with any potential deadlines. Be able to communicate effectively with all levels both internally and externally. Whilst producing 2D CAD designs for both gas and electricity projects.
This role will allow you to follow a progressive career path with a forward-thinking company that is people-focused and ever-evolving. Full training would be provided, whilst experience in the utilities/construction sector is desired, it is not essential.

Responsibilities:

  • Compiling of appropriate testing documents and drawings
  • Submission to gas and electricity networks with the view of claiming back monies owed
  • Chasing teams and contractors for missing paperwork and liaising with different adopting utility networks
  • Create AutoCAD 2D template drawings across all business functions
  • Convert proposal drawings into gas and electricity CAD designs for approval
  • Produce as-laid CAD drawings from site information records
  • Process variations to approved designs
  • Prepare draft proposal drawings where required
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the accuracy of drawing content
  • Undertake all activities within agreed standards of service and in compliance with company and third-party technical guidelines
  • Act as a focal point for queries and enquiries regarding all aspects of CAD drawings
  • Assist members of the Design and Technical department with other tasks where required
