Cadet Civil Drafter

THE OPPORTUNITY:

Our Community Development team is looking for Cadet Draftsperson/Designers where you will work with experienced engineers, designers and drafters to deliver dynamic drafting solutions in a variety of civil engineering projects.
Although no previous experience is required, we are on the hunt for passionate people who enjoy modelling, designing and drafting and are able to demonstrate a commitment to continued learning.

As a Cadet Designer, you will work on community development projects and –

• Learn all facets of CAD, drafting and design techniques and gain skills in relevant computer programs.
• Work under the guidance of our Engineers and Designers on civil engineering projects; and
• Provide accurate and efficient drafting services for the Business Unit in accordance with project times and budgets, with detailed supervision.
• Obtain existing infrastructure information using GIS, Dial Before You Dig, as-constructed drawings and reports, and other relevant software programs and tools.
• Liasing with local government authorities
• Develop communication skills with relevant authorities and sub-contractors
• Undertaking design and drawings to relevant authority and local government standards
