Description:

The BOOST team is a new team developed to provide a responsive, hands on support service to young people struggling with a range of mental health problems. The post holder will work into one of our CAMHS teams: COT (Crisis Outreach) Team , ISET (intensive support engagement team) Team , CET (Community Engagement Team) Team , CMHT (Community Mental Health Team), ED (Eating disorders) Team for at least 50% of the clinical working week and implement care plans with identified young people and their families experiencing mental health and emotional difficulties, as prescribed by the multi-disciplinary team under the supervision of registered clinical practitioners in a wide range of therapeutic settings. The role will be job planned as supported by our clinical model: CAPA (Choice & Partnership Approach) with the remaining 50% of the working week being available to ‘boost’ our clinical and service capacity where needed.
The post holder will be required to offer individual therapeutic work with young people experiencing psychological and emotional distress, and will also be a key part of delivering group work:
To provide a clear perspective of their work within the multi-disciplinary team and to referring agencies and external professionals, in MDT meetings, formulations and consultations.
To deliver a Child and Adolescent Mental Health clinical service specialising in the care and treatment of children and young people with a range of mild to moderate and moderate to severe complex mental health problems and disorders, requiring supportive engagement, across Part 1 and 2 of the mental health measure within CAMHS.
Alongside the multi-disciplinary team, the post holder will directly assist in the assessment, planning, delivery and evaluation of the provision of specialist child mental health interventions across a range of care provisions to meet the needs of individuals, families and groups of individuals who require specialist CAMHS intervention. Weekend/evening working will be required.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
