Responsibilities:

We currently have an exciting opportunity to join CAMHS as a Clinician, where you will be responsible for:

  • Provide clinical expertise for children, adolescents, and families with mental health issues.
  • Offer direct expert care to individuals or groups and provide clinical leadership.
  • Ensure quality services for those experiencing complex social, emotional, and behavioral difficulties.
  • Ensure optimal consumer care through assessment, education, counseling, and group work.
  • Collaborate with other professional disciplines and organizations.
  • Utilize clinical knowledge and experience to support staff and contribute to research and policy development

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Appropriate degree or equivalent qualification within your allied health Discipline (Refer to role descriptions for further detail.)
  • Demonstrated ability to carry out assessments and interventions of a complex nature with emotionally disturbed children and adolescents, and their families using a range of evidence-based theoretical models in assessment and intervention.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the theory and practice of clinical work within the individual’s professional specialty area, including group work.
  • Ability to communicate and work with other professionals, facilitate group functions, and work as a team member.
  • Ability to work with a high degree of responsibility with limited supervision and direction.
  • Knowledge of the impact of government policy affecting the area of child, adolescent, and family health and welfare services
