Description:

We are seeking reliable, fun loving, energetic and open minded staff committed to working with youth for an incredible summer camp program. We are seeking those who are available for as much, if not all, of the camp season and training dates as possible.
Camp Seewackamano is an outdoor, wooded area/ terrain location: Shokan, NY 12481.
Camp Seewackamano runs 7/1/2024-8/30/2024. Mandatory training dates TBD in June 2024.

Duties may include but are not limited to:

  • Supervises a group of children.
  • Plans and implements program activities that is culturally relevant, developmentally appropriate and consistent with YMCA values.
  • Adheres to program standards including health, safety and cleanliness standards.
  • Attends staff meetings and training.
  • Follows YMCA policies and procedures, including those related to medical and disciplinary situations, child abuse prevention and emergencies.
  • Maintains positive relations with parents and other staff. Models relationship-building skills (including Listen First) in all interactions.
  • Ability to plan, lead and participate in a range of activities in a variety of outdoor/indoor settings.
