Cancer Services Project Officer - Band 5

To work with the Project Manager and Cancer Service Managers to develop relationships with key stakeholders and operational teams to facilitate and support the delivery of new and improved working practices in accordance with project and change management principles and service improvement methodologies To support operational teams in ensuring productivity, sustainability and quality initiatives and improvements are adopted across the Trust. To work closely with services using our documentation, processes, governance and reporting. To act as a resource for operational teams as directed by the Cancer Services Project Management Team, providing advice and guidance on all productivity, utilisation & sustainability initiatives in regards to process, tracking, reporting, planning and analysis. To support key stakeholders and Managers with the planning, monitoring and tracking of productivity & sustainability initiatives, and support with the reporting of performance against project plans.
Support, facilitate and at times lead numerous projects or workstreams, escalating actions, monitoring progress against plans and regularly reporting progress and any slippage. Capturing and monitoring workstream progress against issues and risks, and escalating changes to risk and issue status as appropriate Provide all administrative support required to scope, plan and deliver projects/workstreams Co-ordinate project teams / workstream teams and ensure that all personnel involved with project activities understand their roles and carry them out effectively, taking corrective action where appropriate
