The Development Associate will support various aspects of the development process, from project inception through completion. QUALIFICATIONS & COMPETENCIES:
- Undergraduate degree in planning, engineering, or business preferred.
- 2+ years of real estate development and entitlement experience.
- Excellent written and presentation skills.
- Strong understanding of real estate fundamentals.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Comfortable working in a growing, entrepreneurial environment.

Responsibilities:
- Lead the preparation, submission, and approval process for all Development Applications, including Zoning By-law Amendments (ZBAs) and Site Plan Approvals (SPAs), managing initial submissions, revisions, and final agreements.
- Manage the solicitation process for proposals from diverse consultant teams, actively engaging with them throughout project development phases.
- Prepare, review, and track project budgets and schedules, focusing on approvals and coordination across departments.
- Monitor and coordinate the efforts of all project consultants to align with project budget, schedule, and development objectives.
- Collaborate with municipalities and regulatory authorities to secure approvals for development entitlements.
- Collaborate with consultant teams and internal teams to develop and review suite layout plans.
- Support due diligence business development efforts for new projects by assessing opportunities for feasibility, highest and best use, and market considerations.
- Participate in the review and refinement of development agreements, condominium documents, and other project-related legal documents.
- Monitor and analyze changing policies, market trends, and competitive landscape to inform and refine development strategies.
- Assist in the drafting of regular updates to management and external partners on budgetary and timeline adjustments, and overall project progress.
