As a capability lead, you are a go-to leader for our squads and play a crucial role in shaping the future of our engineering strategy including architecture, technology, and practices in our digital chapter. You are balancing time also staying hands-on by leading discovery, solution designs and implementing change as a part of critical projects and BAU in our platform team.

TO BE SUCCESSFUL IN THIS ROLE, YOU WILL ALSO BE ABLE TO DEMONSTRATE THE FOLLOWING:

  • Experience leading, training and monitoring more junior staff.
  • Hands on experience architecturally designing and delivering customer centric solutions spanning multiple squads.
  • 10 years’ experience as a hands-on engineer in technologies such as .NET, Typescript, SQL, Docker, Jenkins, React and Microsoft Azure
  • 5 year’s experience working in scaled Agile delivery environment demonstrating successful stakeholder, delivery, and risk management
  • Implementation of new technology and practices in a scaled agile environment
  • Technical expert in architecturally designing and implementing Pipelines, .NET Microservices, React Micro Frontends and Design Systems in Azure
  • Ability to lead change in technology, standards, process and behaviour across multiple squads collaboratively and in-line with strategic goals
  • Firm understanding of architecture best practices within digital engineering
  • Ability to identify delivery risks and provide effective mitigations early
  • Critical but constructive thinking and an ability to make the right decision based on long-term business value
