Responsibilities:

Assisting the Head of International Capital Modelling in all aspects of capital modelling for the European entities with a particular focus on the UK and Luxembourg companies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Regular updates to the ECM and reporting of these results to management.
  • Oversee calculation of the Cat Risk module of the Standard Formula with process improvements planned, communicated, and executed to an appropriate standard.
  • Liaise with the Exposure Mgmt. team to update the reinsurance programme and cat data in the ECM.
  • Primary responsibility for quarterly reporting to Tokio Marine head office.
  • Help identify and prioritise development areas in the ECM and play a lead role in testing, implementing and communicating assigned development items.

Performance Objectives:

  • 3 months: Be able to peer review ECM updates performed by a colleague such that the update is accurate and a brief summary of the movements observed is available for a more senior colleague.
  • 6 months
  • Play a key role in the model build in the new platform
  • Assume full ownership of updating the relevant parts of the Cat Risk module of the Standard Formula
  • 12 months: assume full ownership of preparing the SCM reporting for Tokio Marine head office
