KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

The key accountabilities listed below are not to be considered all-inclusive; a team member may be required to perform additional tasks, as directed, and based on changing business needs of the company:

  • Environmental, health and safety leadership, including compliance with all company policies as well as state and federal regulations.
  • Plan, schedule, and implement the mill capital budget, programs of mill expansion, modification, and improvement.
  • Manage overall portfolio of Maintenance, Regulatory, Strategic and Cost Reduction projects.
  • Provide leadership and accountability in following International Paper’s capital policy.
  • Oversee the activities of the Capital Project Engineers to assure timely and effective completion of all work and Projects.
  • Lead, develop and mentor direct reports.
  • Engagement and alignment of required project constituents and team members including engineering partners, suppliers, and contractor personnel.
  • Build and maintain effective relationships with operating departments, maintenance teams and improvement organizations within the mill as well as external to the mill.
  • Support Global Sourcing in the management of the procurement process including bid analysis, negotiation and awarding of work associated with equipment and services.
  • Manage contracted engineering and construction management resources as required to supplement staff.
