  • Strong academic track record, combined with 3-10 years of relevant work experience.
  • Proficient in Excel. Some experience in SQL, PowerBI and/or Python a bonus.
  • People-person with proven ability to build and maintain external relationships, who thrives in an external-facing role.
  • Ability to extract insights and communicate complex issues to senior-level audiences.
  • Intellectually curious, with existing knowledge or a proven ability to quickly learn about carbon markets.
  • Demonstrable enthusiasm for addressing climate change in the corporate sector.
  • Degree in Economics, Finance, Media/Journalism, Environmental Studies, Climate Change, Geography, or a related field.

Responsibilities:

YOUR TEAM RESPONSIBILITIES

We are looking for an exceptional senior analyst to join our growing carbon market data and research team. This vacancy is for a senior position where you will contribute to our market-leading intelligence gathering and data analysis on pricing trends in the global carbon credit market.
As well as excellent technical capability, you will enjoy being in an outward facing role and good at building relationships with a wide range of market participants. You will be driven, a creative thinker and intellectually curious. You should be able to effectively manage your own time and be capable of communicating complex issues to colleagues and senior level audiences. You will also be passionate about improving the state of the natural world and addressing the challenge of climate change.
Candidates may come from backgrounds in the carbon, energy or financial markets, media/news, price reporting or analysis, research and consultancy sectors.

YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Qualitative and quantitative research on carbon markets.
  • Building and maintaining network of market relationships.
  • Communicating insights both internally and externally, delivered to clients through direct analyst calls, weekly reporting, and an online platform.
  • Becoming leading expert on carbon credit market dynamics, including trading patterns, market volumes, transaction structures and clearing prices.
  • Data handling and modelling using Excel, and potentially SQL, PowerBI, and/or Python.
  • Working closely with colleagues in UK and India to continually advance the data and insights we provide to our subscription clients on carbon markets.
